Weekly Weigh In - Week 38

How Do I Participate:

My weight is up more than I anticipated this week. I was thinking it'd go up a pound or two, not 4. I have to tell you, I am a little discouraged. I know that I shouldn't be. I know that muscle weighs more than fat. I know that your period makes you bloated and therefore you weigh more. But I can't help it. The scale was so close to being in the 170s and now I'm 8lbs away from that.... again.

On the other hand, my inches did go down and I know that that's more important than what my scale says. My chest, waist & thigh are down a 1/2 inch each. My hips are down 1.5 inches. So that's a loss straight across the board there. And they say that 2 inches in the hips is just about 1 adult's pant size. Who knows, maybe I'll be a 12... or even a 10 the next time I go to get new pants (I'm a 14 now).  I can't imagine being a 10 again. That was my heaviest weight in high school.
I guess I've got to just keep on trucking and hope that the scale will reflect some kind of difference next week.

Don't get discourage.
Weightloss is a process and it's up and down.
Remember why you want to do this in the first place and how you will feel WHEN you will reach that goal!!

Everybody have bad weeks! Just keep pushing yourself to prove yourself that you can acctually DO IT!!

I would take the inches over the scale, but I know how frustrating it is when that stupid scale goes up. Just hand in there. You have been doing really good with your exercise and it will pay off in the end.

congrats on the down inches that really is a much more reliable standard. For all the reasons you already listed try not to worry too much about this latest scale number, of course you should be proud!
