Super Mom? I think not...

Sometimes I feel like I am a terrible role model/mom for the little one. I know that it's just because of my new weekday schedule and all the stress I've been feeling, but I really can't help it. I come home from a long day and the apartment is a mess and I just hate myself for it. Yeah, yeah, having a new baby means you can slack off a bit - especially when you work full time, but how do those other mothers do it?? I find that if I don't take time off work, nothing ever gets done and the place just keeps getting messier.

What are your secrets to keeping a clean home?

Hey there - thanks for following my blog. As a mom of 3 teenagers (which about equal one baby) I could tell you how to keep your home clean but I'm going to share with you some advice from experience instead: ignore the home. Spend every extra minute you have with your little one. You have your whole life to clean your house. Kids, they grow up so fast - one day she's a baby - the next thing you know - she's bring home a boyfriend! Enjoy your little one! Em.

Congratulations on your weight loss! 6 lbs is awesome!!!! :) At weight watchers they say that 1 lb is a stick of butter so you lost 24 sticks of butter. Woo hoo!!!! :)

I AGREE!! when it comes to your home, do what you can, and ignore the rest. As she gets older, it will get better. and she will start wanting to help you. now that i have 3, even though the baby is still 2, they all play together and I am not as much involved, so my house is much tidier this year than it has been in about 4 years!!! And it is still not perfect. Honestly, there are only so many hours in a day. if you spend it tidying up, it means that you aren't spending it with your babe!
ps. When it gets really bad, we hire a cleaning company every month or two...more when I was working. but that was only after the 3rd when she was really small.

Yea, I haven't figured this one out yet. My home is never the way I want it to be. I try to stay on top of dishes and laundry and not worry so much about the other stuff....

Oh boy. Well, you could straighten up 5 billion times a day. Yeah, I don't know either...not with kids anyway. We keep the place clean. Truly orderly is a whole other story!
